  Fact about procedure

Mini facelifts are generally appropriate for people who show aging in the mid-face and do not have a severe amount of excess skin around their jaw line and neck. Mini facelifts do not stop the aging process but merely "set the clock back."

Surgical procedure
Usually Procedure Incisions begin above the hairline at the temples, follow the natural line in front of the ear. The skin then separate from fat and underlying structure. The facial fascia and muscles are tightened and the excess skin is cut.

Results
Facial profile looks younger and delightful

  Duration of Operation:
    One hour

Possible Risks and Complications
Complications that can occur include hematoma (a collection of blood under the skin), injury to the nerves that control facial muscles (usually temporary), infection, and reactions to the anesthesia. Poor healing of the skin is most likely to affect smokers. Most of the incision is concealed and not noticeable. It is most likely to be heavy behind the ear where there is greater tension.

Side Effects
The severity and duration of such side effects may vary, especially if another cosmetic procedure was performed at the same time.

After Care
After care Following surgery, a small, thin tube may be temporarily placed under the skin behind your ear to drain any blood that might collect there. The surgeon may also wrap your head loosely in bandages to minimize bruising and swelling.

  Recovery Time
    The recovery takes one week.

  Hospital Admission
Most patients would like to stay in the hospital overnight.

  Anesthetic
General Anesthesia (you are asleep) or local anesthesia.

  Post Operative Care
It is important to follow a careful plan on return to strenuous activity, in order to avoid tension on the wound (which could lead to worse scarring).
